Excursion

Tours are scheduled for Wednesday. We have planned two excursions, depending upon your interests.

  1. LONG TRIP: distance 17 km, about 6 hours
    Start: 9 AM in front of the Bornit Hotel, meeting with a local mountain guide. We will walk through Szklarska Poreba town to a mountain hut on Hala pod Labskim Szczytem, where we can have a break for hot tea or coffee. Then we will walk up to Sniezne Kotly - two post glacial cirques on the Giant Mountains ridge. We will see the Elbe river spring on the Czech side, which is one of the longest rivers in Central Europe. In the afternoon we will reach Szrenica mountain (1362 m asl) with the restaurant on the top and the great view of Sudety Mountains. On the way down we will see Kamienczyk waterfall, which is 27 meter height.
  2. SHORT TRIP: distance 10 km, about 4 hours
    Start: 9 AM in front of the Bornit Hotel, meeting with a local mountain guide. We will walk through Szklarska Poreba town and climb up to to Izerskie Mountains. We will reach Wysoki Kamien peak (1058 m als) which is a fantastic view point, with great panorama. There is a small restaurant on the top, so we can have a tea, coffee or some other drinks. Then we will walk down to the Zakret Smierci, a 180-degree sharp bend on the road to Świeradow Zdrój Spa. After we will see remains of pyrite mining area, which is called "fool`s gold". On the way back to the hotel there will be two more attractions: the rock called Chybotek and the Golden Viewpoint.
